Make them last

N1 Glove Care

Heat, dirt and bad habits are what kill German latex. Follow these steps and the same pair grips for far longer.
The short version

Five rules that keep the grip

  • 01Activate the grip before the first use
  • 02Dampen the palms before every session
  • 03Wash them every 3 to 4 uses
  • 04Store them in the N1 glove bag, away from heat
  • 05Always follow the N1 care instructions
Step by step

How to do it right

A Activating the grip

  1. Peel the plastic film off slowly and carefully, so the latex is not damaged.
  2. Wash the gloves with warm water. Never hot.
  3. Immerse them and squeeze out the soap left from the manufacturing process.
  4. Do not rub or twist the gloves.
  5. No detergent. Use a gentle natural soap only.
  6. Repeat until no soap bubbles come out.
  7. Squeeze out the excess water. Do not wring them.
  8. Hang them to dry away from heat and sunlight. Never use a dryer.

B Washing & cleaning

  1. Wash the gloves with warm water. Never hot.
  2. Immerse them and squeeze out the dirt and sweat.
  3. Do not rub or twist the gloves.
  4. No detergent. Use a gentle natural soap only.
  5. Repeat until the gloves are free of dirt, sweat and soap.
  6. Squeeze out the excess water. Do not wring them.
  7. Hang them to dry away from heat and sunlight. Never use a dryer.

Never do this

  • No detergent, bleach or fabric softener. Gentle natural soap only.
  • Never rub, twist or wring the latex.
  • No dryer, no radiator, no direct sunlight.
  • Never leave them wet and crushed inside your bag.
  • Never play on dry palms. Water is what wakes the grip up.

Why it matters

German latex is a soft, living surface. Heat, dirt and dry palms wear it down fast, and once the top layer is gone the grip does not come back.

Treat the palms the way a professional does and the same pair will last you several seasons instead of a few months.
